1 How long does the process take?

The amount of time spent depends on the size, breed, and temperament of the pet, as well as the regularity of grooming the pet has received. Typically, we allot 1-2 hours, and for larger dogs about 3 hours

 We work at every dog’s individual pace, this along with traffic, is why we ask for a grace period of 30 minutes before and after your pet’s scheduled appointment (ie. appointment is at 3 pm, you should expect us to arrive 2:30-3:30 pm). We will always do our best to inform you if we are running ahead or behind of schedule as soon as possible.

2 Can I be inside the van during the process?

Due to safety and liability issues, we cannot allow anyone other than the trained stylist and pet in the van during the appointment. We would be happy give you a tour of the van before the appointment begins.

3 Do you need to use my electricity or hose?

The van has a power generator and water heater, sometimes it will be necessary to connect a power cable and fill the internal water gallon with your house hose.

4 Do you sedate pets?

Under no circumstances would we sedate a pet. If a pet is aggressive, please let us know before the appointment begins. We reserve the right to stop or walk away from an appointment if we do not feel that we can adequately complete the groom. We will still charge for the service fee as well as any grooming that was completed.

5 Do you have a weight limit for dogs?

We do not have a set weight limit for dogs. However, if a very large dog cannot stand or needs to be lifted onto the table or into the tub, we may not be able to complete the groom. Please let us know ahead of time if the pet cannot stand well or needs assistance getting into the mobile salon so that we can best accommodate the pet’s needs.

6 How often do you recommend grooming for my dog?

The amount of time between grooming appointments depends on the type of breed, along with size and lifestyle, but we recommend all dogs be groomed every 4, 6 or 8 weeks

7 Will frequent bathing dry out the skin and coat?

We use very mild, hypoallergenic and medicated shampoos and conditioners that are safe to be used once a week. In fact, most veterinarians recommend dogs be washed at least once a week with a medicated shampoo if they have skin or coat problems.

8 Why is mobile grooming more expensive than grooming at a pet grooming shop?

With mobile grooming, your pet remains one on one with one stylist (versus in a shop where they see a bather, sit in a cage dryer and then get their haircut by a groomer). Normally at shops you drop off in the morning and don’t pick up until the evening so they are crated all day. For anxious pups (or parents) mobile grooming tends to be much more stress free and of course we come to your home or office so the dog doesn’t have to be gone all day. In addition to the expenses that the van has, such as gas, maintenance, taxes and extras.

9 Do you require vaccines to be up to date?

Yes, in the state of California dogs are by law required to be up to date on their rabies vaccination. We must see proof of the vaccination along with the expiration date before your pet’s first grooming. It is the responsibility of the owner to update us with their pet’s vaccinations.

10 What payment types do you take?

We accept Cash, Check, Venmo and Zelle.

11 What is your policy on matting?

We thankfully do not run into much matting since we work with our clients to maintain their pups at home and require them to be on a recurring schedule. We do not perform excessive “de-matting”. It is dangerous, painful and stressful for the pet. We recommend shaving down and sticking to a routine grooming schedule. Matting besides being painful for your pet, can cause health risks, cut off circulation and can make them not like the grooming process; de-matting is even more uncomfortable. Hair grows back, but the trust your pet will have in us may not if you insist in causing them such discomfort.

12. Do you use muzzles?

Owner MUST inform if your pet bites, has bitten, is aggressive, unpredictable and/or has any other behavioral issues. We reserve the right to muzzle any dog for their safety and ours. Muzzling does not harm your pet.
We will make every attempt to groom uncooperative pets, but we may not be able to complete grooming on pets that pose a threat to themselves or our groomers. If grooming your pet puts either them or us at risk we will stop the groom and refer you to a groomer at a vet.

13. How do I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment through the text you got the confirmation from, calling/ texting our phone number (510 837-4602). Remember to do it at least 2 days prior to the appointment date to avoid  the $50 cancellation fee per  pet.
